May Full Moon

The Full Moon on 26 May will occur at 12.13pm. This is sometimes known as the ‘Flower Moon’.

The May Full Moon will appear larger in the sky than normal. This is because this year there will be a ‘supermoon’.

Many cultures refer to May’s full Moon as the flower moon thanks to the abundant blooming that occurs as spring gets going properly. Other names include the hare moon, the corn planting moon, and the milk moon.
