There are a large number of clubs dedicated to sports and pastimes in and around the Armagh area. Ball sports include football, rugby, GAA, golf, cricket, hockey and tennis. There are opportunities to take to the water with clubs catering for swimming (in Armagh City) and water skiing, rowing, sailing and angling (within the wider Borough).
You can stretch your legs by joining a running, rambling or cycling club or by participating in a Parkrun. There are a number of leisure centres and gyms including one which caters solely for women. Armagh also provides opportunities to participate in musical activities, and to join other groups with interests such as local history, natural history, bowls, bridge, wildlife, adventure or drama.
Armagh City Library is located at Market Street in the Heart of the City close to coffee shops, restaurants, shops and pubs. As well as being a lending library with access to publications from libraries across Northern Ireland, Armagh City Library regularly hosts adult reading groups and events for adults and children.
