From the viewpoint below the Stone Circle Calendar there is a spectacular panorama looking to the west over the City of Armagh and encompassing the two cathedrals. From left to right the following can be seen:

- Armagh Robinson Library (1771)
- Armagh County Infirmary (1774)
- Armagh Windmill (1810)
- Shambles Market Cupola Clock (1827)
- Navan Fort (Emain Macha; 8th century BC) – potential World Heritage site (Royal Sites of Ireland) – 3 miles
- St Patrick’s Cathedral (Roman Catholic; 1840)
