Armagh Observatory has been recording weather conditions since 1794, making us one of the longest-running meteorological observing stations in the world. Our data series is therefore significant on a global scale.
Here you can learn about the history and present status of weather observations, as well as directly access all the data from our archives. At the bottom of this page you can view ‘A Brief History of Weather Observations at AOP’; a 5-minute video introduction to this topic from our YouTube channel.
